I was diagnosed with Brain Cancer in December 2012. My anesthesia level was full. My treatment was five days a week for chemotherapy and one day a week for radiation therapy. I will not mention the name of the hospital that treated me, but I will say that it needs to be closed down.
The radio table was glass and they locked my head down while laying on my stomach. I left my treatment appointments because I ended up feeling so weak. I lived alone at the time and I had no friends or loved ones there to assist me.
The hospital installed a chemo port in my chest. The pipe broke out of my neck. They refused to remove it. No other hospital wants to remove it because they are scared of the risk. Now, I have to live with a strange material in my body. Now, I live with painful migraines. The symptoms I have to deal with are nausea, vomiting, and weakness. Sometimes my hands get very numb.
I live alone. How do I cope with the migraines? I discovered that ice cream helps to cool and comfort my head as well as the rest of my body. Putting on the AC has the same effect on my body when I’m sick with migraines as well. Since the Brain biopsy, my scalp has been itchy and is covered in wounds.
I try my best to wash my head and dress my hair using hair grease, as well as brushing and picking it when I wash it with soap. I cry out to the Holy Spirit when I’m in pain or throwing up and He strengthens me.
I encourage everyone going through this to please take the time to rest.
We never know how weak our bodies are. Please do not rush to do any work. Our bodies need rest to regain energy because migraines and its symptoms can take a toll on us.
