Aftermath

The pain . . .

It’s crippling

Though,

it lets me know

I can still feel

Everything else is numb

Hopes, shattered

Dreams, gone

How does one keep going on

When everything you’ve ever wanted

Just disappears

Is ripped away

No longer a reality

Is Taken

Stolen

Gone

I don’t want to die,

but I don’t want to exist either

Another day just seems so daunting

I’ve got nothing left to give

No more will to fight

broken down

damaged goods
