Take Care of Me

Strong hits me in the chest, a shove
Away from the comforting embrace
I’m left longing for
Strong leaves me alone to go on
Because I’ve “got this” and
If I’m strong then you don’t have to see me
Cry, see what I need and if I’m strong then,
You don’t have to be here for me when I fall
Strong lets you believe I have all that I need
And you don’t hear me when I say
I don’t want to be strong another day in my life
Give me softness and peace, rest and release
Let me be weak, feel comfort and ease
For once, please – take care of me
