Description: Balancing cancer treatment with the needs of children and aging parents can leave little space for your emotional well-being or personal needs outside of medical care. For many, the demands of caring for others while managing your own illness can feel relentless, overwhelming and exhausting. This presentation will give space to name that weight, acknowledge the unique pressures of caregiving while facing illness, and normalize the emotional impact. This webinar will explore supportive strategies for coping, communication, and finding ways to protect your energy, your voice, and your well-being.

This webinar is for cancer patients, their partners, and healthcare providers who support these families.

Webinar Presenter: Meredith Cammarata, LCSW-R (She/Her/Hers)

Meredith is a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and families affected by cancer. Her clinical focus includes working with parents diagnosed with cancer, with particular emphasis on family communication and interventions that address the needs of both patients and their children. Meredith is current president of the Association of Oncology Social Workers and an oncology social worker at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
