Stupid Cancer hopes you’ll join us at the Health Disparities Town Hall on Tuesday, December 7th at 5PM EST. This ninety-minute open forum, moderated by expert facilitators, Denise Rouse and Julye Williams, will be an opportunity to share your experiences of discrimination and inequities to help Stupid Cancer address barriers to AYA care. If you’ve experienced discrimination during your diagnosis, treatment, and/or support based on any “isms” or “phobias” – such as racism, ableism, homophobia, or transphobia – we want to understand your stories.
Our ultimate aim is to ensure the needs of historically marginalized communities are visible and addressed within Stupid Cancer, the AYA nonprofit space, and the larger AYA oncology community. The feedback we receive from the Town Hall will be used to develop and implement a strategic action plan and supporting initiatives to address the needs of AYA cancer patients from these specific groups.
