Being a parent is challenging on a typical day. Being a parent with cancer adds another layer of stress and uncertainty that is often difficult to cope with. How much should I tell my children about my diagnosis, treatment or expected outcome? What will the emotional impact be on my family? How do I take care of myself and allow my caregivers to help, too? Expert social workers from three renowned cancer centers will share their knowledge and experience for parents facing a cancer diagnosis.
