Cancer can impact your ability to work and can cause temporary medical disability. However sometimes cancer has lifelong impacts. Approximately 40% of cancer survivors experience long-term physical, cognitive, and psychological effects due to their diagnosis and treatment. While the legal definitions of disability are more straightforward, the social experiences of disability can be more nuanced and complex.
