The field of AYA Oncology was initially grounded in several epidemiological observations, and in this session we will review some of those which helped to define the AYA age range and prioritize much of the now decades work in program creation and targeted AYA trials. However, new epidemiological trends are now being reported in the AYA population. This session will aim to describe some new, and worrisome, trends in AYA cancer incidence and outcomes, to help direct the next generation of efforts to improve AYA cancer care.
