Most AYA (Adolescent and Young Adult) cancer resources deny services to young adults once they turn 40 years old, leaving them feeling isolated and abandoned, without age-appropriate support as they continue to deal with the aftermath of a cancer diagnosis.
Gryt Health and Young Adult Survivors United (YASU) are thrilled to announce the combined commitment to fulfill this gap in services and support as we bring you “Aged Out of AYA meetup” for those diagnosed as a young adult (18-39 years old) but no longer qualify as one, and those who are currently between 40 and 60 years old. You are still included and supported! The groups’ facilitators, Leslie Pallière and Liz Hiles have been members of the AYA cancer community and have already aged out. They understand, can relate, and are excited to provide you with the ongoing support that is needed and wanted. Once registered, a Zoom link will be emailed to you after registering.
