The Gathering of Wolves retreat is Man Up to Cancer’s signature annual event and the largest men’s cancer retreat ever assembled. We are thrilled to celebrate the 5th anniversary of GOW with this year’s attendees. We have taken past attendee feedback to heart, bringing a bigger, more intentional, and deeply connected retreat experience for our members.
Affectionately known as GOW, this event is designed for male cancer patients, survivors, and male caregivers of all cancer types and backgrounds.
GOW combines the best elements of a traditional camp-style retreat—such as swimming, nature walks, archery, campfires, and communal meals—with educational breakout sessions and keynote speakers. Rounding out the retreat are cherished traditions unique to our community, including a fireside remembrance ceremony, an annual challenge coin, and an international cornhole tournament.
Together, these elements create space for rest and recuperation, honest conversations, lifelong friendships, and personal transformation.
Any man impacted by cancer is welcome to register for the GOW retreat.
Everything at the retreat—including food and beverage, lodging, activities, and the swag bag—is completely free for attendees, thanks to the generosity of our donors and sponsors.
Attendees are asked to cover their own travel to the retreat. If travel costs present a barrier, a limited number of travel stipends are available and can be requested during registration.
