Writing can be therapeutic and healing for cancer patients, cancer caregivers, and survivors. In this workshop open to all affected by cancer in any way, participants bring life to the character of their “pain.” Utilizing prompts, they explore what this “pain” looks and sounds like, what it has to say to them, and what they’d like to say to it. A monthly theme will be used as a starting point to then allow whatever healing and creativity is waiting to flow out!
Holly Sidell is the writer and performer of Deconstructing Holly, an award-winning solo show about how her journey through breast cancer and the BRCA1 gene helped her finally find self-love.
Patsy Noah is a co-founder of the non-profit organization YourMomCares #ymc. YourMomCares is a group of celebrity and influencer moms banding together in support of young people’s mental health, changing the dialogue from mental illness to mental wellness. Patsy has been helming AYA’s Journaling Workshops for many years and looks forward to collaborating with longtime friend, now colleague, Holly.
