Community Happy Hour

The Dear Jack Foundation is proud to invite you to join us on the first Thursday of each month at 8pm ET for a virtual Community Happy Hour specifically for AYA cancer patients and survivors. These will be casual gatherings to have fun, support each other, and maybe even learn something. We are going to rotate themes so that each quarter we do one group activity, have one guest speaker, and have one call led by all of you.

Thursday, July 6th – Playlist Curation

• Introductions and “get to know you” question- If you had a theme song specifically for your past week, what would it be and why?
• Information about the upcoming schedule and ways to connect and get involved
• Playlist curation – We want to work together to make two great playlists (please keep your song suggestions appropriate). We will have one that is a pump up playlist and one that is a chill playlist. Think about what songs get you going and what ones help you wind down and bring them to the call. We’ll craft the playlists and email out the links to them the next day.
• Time to chat and hang out

Thursday, August 3rd – Sheila Gannon, Master Nutrition Therapist will be joining us to talk about nutrition! Sheila is a cancer survivor herself and is a huge supporter of Dear Jack.

Thursday, September 7th – Community led discussion – What stress management techniques have worked for you?
