Melissa Mateo Blank lives in South Carolina. She has a Master’s in English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University, and before being diagnosed with brain cancer, taught English Composition and American Literature at a local community college for five years. She loves old science fiction, good coffee, hiking, camping and spending time with her husband and her 100 lb. dog. She often uses her inappropriate sense of humor and a heavy dose of sarcasm to mock that which is trying to kill her, because if she can’t laugh at it every once in a while, what else can she do?
