DESCRIPTION:A Community Conversation: Quantifying the Health Impact of Group-Based Mindfulness Experiences in Nature\nJoin us as we hear from David Victorson, PhD, Executive Director and Co-Founder of True North Treks (TNT), speak about the psychosocial and biological outcomes of spending meaningful time in nature with other young adult cancer survivors and caregivers who “get it” during TNT’s immersive mindfulness-based programs.\nDavid will highlight program evaluation data from TNT’s most recent 5 years of treks, which were recently published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. Findings will review how trek participation affects one’s sense of connection to nature, connection to other survivors and caregivers, and connection to oneself, and how this is related to important mental and physical health outcomes.\nRegister HERE\n
