SUMMARY:Skyline in Color
DESCRIPTION:Skyline in Color\nRegister here\nWednesday, April 8th, 2026 from 7pm – 9pm ET\nThis month at Art & Conversation, we’re flipping the script on perspective. We’ll create a circular cityscape using the color wheel that looks up from the center of the street into a galaxy-filled sky. Think bold buildings radiating outward, sections of vibrant color, and a dreamy universe anchoring it all in the middle. It’s graphic. It’s playful. It looks way more complicated than it actually is. We’ll break it down step by step so you can focus on the fun part, not the “wait, what do I draw?” part.\nEven better? Cactus Cancer Society will mail you the supplies you need ahead of time.  You’ll show up ready to create with materials in hand and zero prep stress. Just open your kit, log into Zoom, and start sketching.\nAs our colors blend and our lines stretch toward the sky, we’ll move into a guided conversation around the theme “What I Wish They Knew.” This discussion centers the voices of young adults living with and beyond cancer. We’ll create space to reflect on what you wish others (doctors, family members, friends, medical professionals) better understood about your young adult cancer experience. The things that felt invisible. The moments you needed more clarity, more compassion, more agency. The art gives your hands something steady to do while your perspective takes shape. Together, we’ll name what matters and imagine how those insights could shape better care, stronger support, and more confident decision-making for young adults.\nWe’re incredibly grateful to Syndax ( https://syndax.com/ ) for funding this Art & Conversation program and helping make this space possible. Their support enables young adults not only to create together but also to contribute meaningful perspectives that help shape the future of care and community. \nCome ready to draw. Come ready to reflect. Come ready to look up and see things from a new angle.\nWho: Young adults impacted by cancer, ages 18 to 45\nWhat: Art & Conversation featuring a perspective skyline galaxy drawing and guided discussion on “What I Wish They Knew.”\nWhen: Wednesday, April 8th @ 4 pm-6 pm PST / 6 pm-8 pm CT / 7 pm-9 pm ET\nWhere: Zoom!\n
