At the same time, research shows that open, age-appropriate conversations with kids about their parent’s illness helps to decrease their worry, stress, and anxiety and promotes their social-emotional wellbeing. You’ll also receive a free digital copy of our Pickles Family Cancer Support Kit, and a recording of the webinar to watch on your own time.\nPanel Moderator:\nEleonora Teplinsky, MD\nDr. Eleonora Teplinsky is a board-certified medical oncologist specializing in breast and gynecologic oncology. She is the Head of Breast and Gynecologic Medical Oncology at Valley Health System in Paramus, NJ and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Her clinical and research interests focus on young women with breast cancer, cancer survivorship and the use of social media in oncology. Dr. Teplinsky serves on the medical advisory board of Living Beyond Breast Cancer, is a frequent media contributor and speaker, and is the host of the INTERLUDE Podcast where she shares the stories and experiences of those who have been affected by cancer. She is working on her first book, Beyond The Pink, to be published by Balance, an imprint of Hachette Book Group, in September 2026.\nPanel Members:\nMelanie Neystel\nNBCF, Patient Services Coordinator\nMelanie is from Maryland, in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. , with her husband and two children. At 38 years old, she was diagnosed with Stage 2a Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Her daughter was 9 (3rd grade) and her son was 6 (Kindergarten). She had a bilateral mastectomy with tissue expanders, Carbo/AC, Red Devil, Proton Radiation and Implant Reconstruction.\nMonique Morris\nABCD, Mentor and Sisters Network Southeast, WI Member\nMonique is a 3-year breast cancer survivor from Milwaukee, WI. She was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer in 2021 at 31 years old. Her diagnosis came six weeks after her wedding and her son’s first birthday.
